Announcement of the 2024 Kaohsiung Film Festival XR Competition Nominees

The 2024 TTXC (Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo) Kaohsiung Film Festival will be held from October 12 (Saturday) to October 27 (Sunday). The nominees for the XR Competition have been announced, featuring 22 XR experiences from 20 countries competing for the esteemed XR Golden Fireball Award, XR Immersive Experience Award, VR360 Narrative Award, and Special Jury Mention.

This year, Taiwan proudly presents three nominated works: Over the Rainbow, SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN IN INDOCHINA, and Traversing the Mist. The festival will showcase an impressive array of exceptional XR productions by both domestic and international creators, promising a grand visual experience.

TTXC XR DREAMLAND at the Kaohsiung Film Festival is the largest XR immersive film festival in Asia. Entering its seventh year, the XR competition stands as the most significant and prestigious XR competition platform in the region. In response to the evolving landscape of XR Industry, this year's international competition includes the best annual works ranging from VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), MR (Mixed Reality), and various immersive works. A total of 113 works from 32 countries were submitted, with 22 nominated works representing the finest XR offerings globally.
